I found Josh during what was easily the most challenging moment of my life. It’s a long story, but he was able to walk me through some of the most difficult aspects of my divorce as it gradually became uglier and uglier to the point that my ex-wife was unrecognizable.
Josh heard my perspective and not only empathized genuinely, but also — time after time — found the most positive and constructive ways to move forward for me and my son. He was able to see and put in perspective the big picture goals for me as his client, and also helped lay the groundwork for cultivating a co-parenting relationship in the future.
We finally settled a few months ago with a 50/50 custody agreement (in Texas no less), and I couldn’t be happier. It was a long road, but Josh helped me stand up for myself and for my son and for what I believed to be the right thing to do for our family even when I was having unbearable anxiety and was having a hard time just getting though individual days. In August of 2013, I contacted Mr. Coffman for what I only believed would be a simple divorce case. Mr. Coffman spoke with me, and after a very knowledgeable consultation, I decided he was the guy I wanted to hire, and so I did hire him. My divorce case ended up becoming not only that but a custody case in the process due to circumstances that were not originally known to me. Mr. Coffman took on the custody case as well.
The most significant thing that stood out was that Mr. Coffman treated my case as though my children were his children. He showed genuine concern.
Not only did he fight for what was in the best interest of my children, but he presented a very strong factual case and prevailed victorious. He did not ever state “he” won, but always stated the “children” won. He was very reasonably priced and did everything he promised to do and so much more. I shopped around for divorce lawyers before I found Mr. Coffman. I actually had hired a more expensive lawyer first, and what a waste of money. Mr. Coffman is not only a great lawyer but a stand-up guy as well. He could easily charge much more for his services; I think that is a true testament to his character. I found Joshua in a very stressful time. I was going through a divorce, and my previous lawyer was not helping me at all and made a mess of my case. Joshua and Nancy went to work immediately. Joshua told me the process and what to expect. He answered all my questions and made it very easy to communicate back and forth. Where do I begin describing what an amazing lawyer Joshua Coffman is? I was referred to him from one of his colleagues. My case was complicated and quite time consuming. Josh didn’t hesitate taking my case on. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and my custody battle was due to wanting to relocate due to her illness. During my case Josh was always responsive and kept me informed of all communications and procedures taking place during the process. My case went on for some time, and Joshua continuously went above and beyond. A relocation case in Williamson County isn’t easy. He did everything in his power to fight for my cause. When my mother got worse he was able to negotiate time for my children to be out of state for an extended period of time to be by her side.
